Ecommerce Manager 

A fantastic opportunity to work with one of our growing Digital Agencies as an Ecommerce Manager. 

Location: Leeds based - Hybrid working 

Salary: Up to £32,000 based on experience 

Role description: 

  • Overseeing the development and execution of strategic e-commerce plans for clients, including both long-term annual strategies and day-to-day trading activities.

  • Coordinating internal teams to implement cross-channel marketing campaigns.

  • Managing or overseeing internal resources to ensure effective daily website management, including:

    • Updating banners and content

    • Managing visual merchandising

    • Setting up and optimizing products and offers

  • Identifying, briefing, and testing web development tasks to introduce new features, improve functionality, and enhance website performance in areas such as UX, assets, merchandising, and apps.

  • Managing the production of the e-commerce channel's Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.

  • Proactively identifying digital opportunities and providing strategic recommendations.

  • Analyzing Google Analytics data to inform and shape e-commerce strategies.

  • Preparing and distributing daily trading reports and monthly performance summaries.

  • Conducting weekly competitor audits to stay ahead in the market.

  • Ensuring web design and development projects are executed smoothly, within budget, and on schedule.

  • Enforcing adherence to the Development Workflow Process.

  • Supporting the development team and acting as the liaison between them and the client services team for development projects.

  • Auditing clients' digital operations using various tools to conduct a SWOT analysis, leading to strategic recommendations.

Skills / Qualifications required: 

  • Expertise in search engine marketing, display advertising, social media, and affiliate marketing.

  • Familiarity with website design and development processes, particularly with open-source platforms like Shopify and WordPress.

  • Proficient in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for business purposes.

  • Comfortable working with data, including report generation and insights using Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to plan ahead and prioritize tasks according to business needs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident in presenting ideas, and capable of persuading and engaging clients.

  • Proactive problem-solver, using initiative to address challenges.

  • Ability to understand clients' perspectives and adjust your approach to meet their expectations.

  • Embrace challenges, seek collaboration, and actively engage with the broader account team.
